I got an email about this color trend a few days ago and decided to give it a try!
I headed over to Party City and got myself 2 polka dot black balloons and 3 regular ones to paint later. To paint on them I used oil based paint marker (white for contrast) to give it that chalkboard look.
Lettering on balloons is challenging but with a little patience and doing in steps it can look really nice in the final product.
The easiest way to start is to outline the letters first, and then come back and fill in the "thick and thin" areas of the letters to make it stand out.
Decorating around the letters to make it pop...
And after trying a couple of different drawings...
I loved the results, and my favorite part was the price of this simple touch: less than $6!
Hope you love to use this idea for your next event.
